This episode of The Agenda was discussing about the US-UK relationship. In the last 2 decades prior to 2012 Britain had never opposed to any aspect of American foreign policy.
Tony Blair, famously ignored those who elected him to power in order to stand shoulder to shoulder instead with George W. Bush in support of the illegal war in Iraq. And it is becoming clear that the UK cannot withdraw from Afghanistan without a green light from Washington.
The partnership is called strategic but that’s not the term used by those who are vigorously fighting extradition for internet crimes and on allegations of involvement in terrorism such as Babar Ahmad.Some politicians say this one-sided extradition treaty threatens Britain’s sovereignty.
